Drinking Water Test Kit — Professional 87-Parameter Laboratory Analysis

Know What's in Your Water Before Choosing How to Treat It.

Test First. Understand Your Water. Choose the Right Solution.

Your drinking water may look clear, smell normal, and taste perfectly fine while still containing dissolved minerals or contaminants that cannot be detected by sight, smell, or taste alone.

The Natural Action Water Test Kit provides professional laboratory analysis of 87 water-quality parameters through National Testing Laboratories (WaterCheck).

Designed for both city water and private well water, this comprehensive testing package helps you better understand your water before choosing filtration or other treatment equipment.

Better Water Starts with Better Information.

Why Test Your Drinking Water?

  • Know What's in Your Water — Receive laboratory results for 87 water-quality parameters.

  • Test City or Well Water — Understand your household's drinking-water supply.

  • Identify Potential Concerns — Evaluate bacteria, metals, minerals, chemical contaminants, and general water-quality factors.

  • Choose Filtration with Confidence — Match your treatment system to measured water-quality concerns.

  • Evaluate Existing Filtration — Use laboratory testing to investigate the performance of your current water-treatment equipment.

  • Establish a Baseline — Keep your results for comparison with future testing.

What Does the Water Test Kit Test For?

The Natural Action Water Test Kit includes the full 87-analyte WaterCheck Standard laboratory panel.

Testing Category Parameters
Bacteria — Total Coliform and E. coli 2
Heavy metals and minerals 22
Inorganic chemicals 7
Physical water-quality factors 5
Trihalomethanes 4
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) 47
Total Laboratory Parameters 87

1. Microbiological Testing

Includes Total Coliform and E. coli.

These tests help identify bacterial indicators associated with possible water contamination. Proper collection and prompt delivery are especially important for microbiological samples.

2. Heavy Metals and Minerals

Includes 22 parameters, with important examples such as:

  • Lead

  • Arsenic

  • Uranium

  • Mercury

  • Copper

  • Iron

  • Manganese

  • Calcium

  • Magnesium

These measurements can help identify metal contamination and characterize your water's mineral content.

3. Inorganic Chemicals

Includes seven parameters, with examples such as nitrate and fluoride.

These tests can be particularly useful for certain private wells and water supplies affected by local environmental conditions.

4. Physical Water-Quality Factors

Includes five parameters, such as:

  • pH

  • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)

  • Hardness

These measurements help characterize water chemistry and may inform treatment decisions involving mineral buildup or other water-quality concerns.

5. Disinfection By-Products

Includes four trihalomethanes.

These compounds may form when disinfectants react with substances in water and are particularly relevant to certain municipal drinking-water supplies.

6. Volatile Organic Compounds

Includes 47 volatile organic compounds, such as selected industrial solvents and fuel-related chemicals.

Examples include benzene, trichloroethylene (TCE), and tetrachloroethylene (PCE).

Important: What Is Not Included?

The Standard 87-parameter panel does not include the additional pesticide, herbicide, and PCB analyses offered through WaterCheck Deluxe.

PFAS testing is also not included in the Standard panel.

If you have specific concerns about these substances, additional laboratory testing may be necessary.

How the Water Test Kit Works

Step 1 — Order Your Water Test Kit

Purchase the Natural Action Water Test Kit and review the laboratory instructions included with your testing package.

Step 2 — Collect Your Water Sample

Use the laboratory-approved collection bottles provided with your kit.

Follow the instructions carefully, as different tests may require specific sampling procedures.

Step 3 — Return Your Sample to the Laboratory

Complete the required paperwork and package the samples according to the laboratory's instructions.

Guaranteed next-day return delivery is required for the WaterCheck Standard testing process.

Use the current laboratory receiving address provided with your kit. Do not send samples to a general business or billing address.

Return shipping is not included in WaterCheck's standard retail package; check the shipping arrangements supplied with your Natural Action order.

Step 4 — Receive Your Laboratory Report

National Testing Laboratories analyzes your submitted water sample and provides results for the 87 parameters tested.

Results can be compared with applicable EPA drinking-water standards and guidelines.

The laboratory's published estimated turnaround is 7–10 business days after sample receipt, although processing times may vary.

Step 5 — Choose the Right Water Treatment

Use your laboratory results to determine whether you may benefit from:

  • Carbon filtration

  • Sediment filtration

  • Reverse osmosis

  • Water softening

  • Specialized contaminant reduction

  • Additional testing or professional guidance

Natural Action's water-structuring systems can be considered separately after appropriate contaminant treatment has been addressed.

Filter What You Don't Want. Structure Last.
